On 26 August 2026, The PIE News interviewed Zahirul Islam, chief commercial officer and co-founder of MH Global Group, for its Five mins with series.
He described the group as a partner through each step of a student’s move abroad. The company grew out of his own time as an international student, when guidance was scarce and he wanted more people to have a clear path into study overseas. Fourteen years on, MH Global Group works with students, universities, and partners on recruitment, English language training, pathway programmes, and teaching delivered across borders.
In the interview he challenged the idea that international education is only for wealthy families, and said the aim is to open high-quality study to motivated students wherever they start from. Away from the office, he talked about travel, meeting people from other cultures, and mentoring people early in their careers.
He also outlined work now underway: growing the group across more study destinations, turning the St Clare Street building in London into a teaching space, progressing a partnership between a UK university and a public institution in Bangladesh, and preparing a platform for student payments and agent commissions.
